ACMG/IFMGA MOUNTAIN GUIDE IN SQUAMISH, BC

Hi, I'm Drew. I am an ACMG/IFMGA Mountain Guide based in Squamish BC, where I live, work and play. I didn’t grow up in the mountains. I found them much later in life, while traveling the world, and I was hooked pretty quickly. Originally from Toronto and Montreal, I moved to the West Coast following a passion for climbing and snowboarding. Long before guiding became my vision, I knew that exploring these wild places with my people was a life well spent. After finally settling in Squamish 10 years ago, I started down the ACMG path. What I thought would be a fun summer job ended up changing the direction of my life.  The guiding path gave me focus and a profession that fulfilled me. Today I guide climbing and skiing trips across BC, and internationally, both independently and with my colleagues and friends.

I am an independent Mountain Guide who cares deeply about my client’s experience. You’ll deal with me from start to finish: from the first connection to well beyond the après. I enjoy the connections, bonds, and especially the friendships that can be forged through mountain adventure. My client’s are people I truly enjoy spending time with and they often return year after year to climb and ski with me. If this sounds like the type of guiding experience you’re after, I encourage you to connect with me.

Why book with me?

WHY REAL GOOD MOUNTAIN GUIDES (Plural)?

Most of the time, when you book with Real Good Mountain Guides, you’ll be heading out with me. But guiding is rarely a solo effort. I’m part of a close community of guides, climbers, skiers and mountain professionals who share knowledge, look out for one another and help make every trip better. When a trip needs another guide, or I’m not available, I bring in people I know and trust. They share the same commitment to good decisions, clear communication and memorable days in the mountains. That’s why ‘Guides’ is plural. It takes a village, especially in the mountains.

I’m stoked to get out there with you.
